PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router congestion control method, etc. that can suppress stagnation of distribution of content data caused by congestion.SOLUTION: It is determined by monitoring a network whether congestion occurs. An interest packet containing the name of content data requesting transmission is received. When an interest packet is received and occurrence of congestion is determined, an NACK packet for notifying occurrence of congestion is generated, and the generated NACK packet is transmitted to the network. In the generation of the NACK packet, when first alternative content data which substitutes content data corresponding to a name contained in the received interest packet is stored in a cache of a router, information on the first alternative content data is contained in the NACK packet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
