PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of minimizing the number of defective sheets generated when an abnormality occurs in a varnish circulation device.SOLUTION: A printer includes a sheet supply part, a varnish transfer device, and a varnish circulation device 35. The printer also includes a detection device (chamber position sensors 55 and 56, liquid surface detection sensors 71 and 74, and a varnish temperature sensor 73) for detecting whether or not parts to be inspected of the varnish circulation device 35 (a chamber 41, a liquid receiving tub 67, and a varnish tank 63) need an inspection. The printer further includes a control device for controlling an operation of the sheet supply part so that the supply of a sheet is stopped when it is detected by the detection device that the parts to be inspected need an inspection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
