This medical treatment device is provided with: a first and second retention member 10, 20 that open and close about a first rotational shaft RA1 in association with the operation of an operation handle; and a shaft body 61 having one end that is connected to an operation section and another end at which the first and second retention members 10, 20 are pivotally supported so as to be able open and close via the first rotational shaft RA1. The first retention member 10 is provided with a heat transfer plate 12 which makes contact with biological tissue when the biological tissue is clamped between the first and second retention members 10, 20, and which applies energy to the biological tissue. Connected to the heat transfer plate 12 is a flexible substrate 13 which connects electrically to a lead line C1 laid in the interior of the shaft body 61 from the other end side toward the one end side, and which supplies energy to the heat transfer plate 12. The flexible substrate 13 is connected to the lead line C1 at a point further towards the one end side than the first rotational shaft RA1. |
