PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of a pressure loss of an oxidant exhaust gas that is discharged via the inside of a porous body flow passage formation member.SOLUTION: A fuel cell includes: a membrane electrode assembly; the porous body flow passage formation member which supplies the oxidant gas to the membrane electrode assembly via a first surface and discharges the oxidant exhaust gas to a discharge part via an end face part that is formed between an end side portion of the first surface and an end side portion of a second surface; a sealing plate that is disposed along the end side portion of the first surface of the porous body flow passage formation member; and a separator plate that is disposed oppositely to the second surface of the porous body flow passage formation member. On the first surface of the porous body flow passage formation member, a first region confronts the sealing plate and on the second surface, a second region confronts the first region on the first surface. Hydrophilicity of any one of the first and second regions is higher than that of the other region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
