PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment system capable of suppressing an increase in size by increasing the efficiency of a biological treatment for decomposing 1,4-dioxane.SOLUTION: There is provided a wastewater treatment system which comprises: a first biological treatment tank 2 in which biological treatment is performed for a waste water including 1,4-dioxane with an activated sludge containing 1,4-dioxane decomposition bacteria; and a second biological treatment tank 3 in which primary treatment water and the activated sludge from the first biological treatment tank 2 flow in, biological treatment is performed for the primary treatment water with an activated sludge containing 1,4-dioxane decomposition bacteria and a membrane 33 for separating the activated sludge and the primary treatment water is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
