PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a decrease in cement production efficiency, and to covert organic sludge to fuel at a low cost.SOLUTION: In a method for converting organic sludge to fuel, the moisture of organic sludge W1 is reduced by passing high-temperature gas G1 therethrough and using fermentation heat generated by aerobic fermentation, to obtain fuel. If necessary, after a moisture control agent is added to the organic sludge, the moisture may be reduced by passing the high-temperature gas through the organic sludge and using the fermentation heat generated by the aerobic fermentation. A clinker cooler 2 for cement production can be used for performing the passing through of the high temperature gas and the aerobic fermentation. Odorous gas G2 generated by the aerobic fermentation in the clinker cooler for cement production may be deodorized by an oxidation catalyst. The moisture-reduced organic sludge W2 may be pressured and molded into granulated form so as to obtain fuel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
