PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular wire bending apparatus and a rectangular wire bending method which can bend a rectangular wire in consideration of a spring back without providing a special measuring instrument.SOLUTION: A rectangular wire bending apparatus 1 operates so as to bend a rectangular wire 90 at a predetermined bending angle. The rectangular wire bending apparatus 1 has a bending member 2, a motor 4 as a driving device, a measuring part 22 as measuring means and a correction angle setting part 24 as setting means. The bending member 2 contacts the rectangular wire 90 to bend the rectangular wire 90. The motor 4 operates the bending member 2. The measuring part 22 measures a load of the motor 4. The correction angle setting part 24 sets, based on the load measured by the measuring part 22, a bend/correction angle to be used when the bending member 2 bends the rectangular wire 90. The motor 4 operates the bending member 2 so that the rectangular wire 90 is bent at the set bend/correction angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
