Provided are a liquid crystal display device (60) and a backlight module (10) thereof. The optical film assembly (14) of the backlight module (10) comprises at least one tab part (141); the tab part (141) comprises an undercut part (142) and extending part (143) extending from the edge of the optical film assembly (14) toward a plastic frame (13); the plastic frame (13) of the backlight module (10) has a first load-bearing part (131) and a second load-bearing part (132) extending toward a light guide plate (12); the first load-bearing part (131) is provided with an accommodating groove (133) and a blocking part (134); the second load-bearing part (132) is used for bearing the display panel (62) and causing same to be abutted against the first load-bearing part (131); the blocking part (134) has formed thereon a first notch (135) in communication with the accommodating groove (133); the extending part (143) runs through the first notch (135) and the undercut part (142) is accommodated in the accommodating groove (133); the blocking part (134) obstructs the undercut part (142) from moving toward the light guide plate (12). While achieving the positioning of the optical film assembly (14), the described means also facilitates a thinner design of the liquid crystal display device (60).
