A fan, comprising a volute (1), a wind wheel (2), and an electric motor (3); the middle of the volute (1) is provided with a cavity (10), and a wind inlet (11) and a wind outlet (12) in communication with said cavity (10); the electric motor (3) is mounted on the volute (1); and the end part of a rotating shaft (31) of the motor (3) extends into the cavity (10) and is connected to the wind wheel (2). The motor (3) is a plastic-sealed motor, and is supported and fixed onto the volute (1) by means of a mounting bracket (4). Using a plastic-sealed motor to replace the PSC motors used in the prior art can effectively reduce production costs, and compared to PSC motors, plastic-sealed motors have the advantages of low temperature rise and a simple production process.
