A door for a domestic appliance comprises a door panel (28), which is obtained by: a) providing a blank (1); b) forming an intermediate edge (18), which extends in the longitudinal direction of a first flank (10) of the door panel (27, 28) and subdivides the flank (10); c) forming a first leading edge (19), which delimits the front section (9) from the first flank (10) of the door panel (27, 28); and d) forming a first angled portion (22) on an upper or lower periphery (4, 5) of the blank (1), said angled portion crossing over the first leading edge (19) of the door panel (27, 28). The leading edge (19), in models with front sections (9) of different curvatures, is formed with identical cross section, whereas the intermediate edge (18), in models with front sections (9) of different curvatures, is formed with different cross sections. |
