PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of transmitting while suppressing a danger that authentication information for performing communication connection is obtained by another device even when wireless communication with weak directivity is used.SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus performs communication connection to an opposite device specified by a user with respect to a wireless communication setting device having a user interface and includes: a communication unit for receiving authentication information encrypted with a prior common key shared by the wireless communication setting device; and a control unit for controlling the communication unit to perform communication connection to the opposite device by decrypting the encrypted authentication information and using the decrypted authentication information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
