PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of an image arrangement determination device for performing layout and printing of a plurality of pieces of image data which can automatically arrange an image by automatically selecting an image in an image area on the basis of automatic notification and automatically selecting an image arrangement format from a plurality of patterns in accordance with the number of selected images.SOLUTION: When one or more images having photographic information matching photographic information set in advance is stored in a memory, notification is performed to a user (S205). On the basis of the response of the user to the notification, one image arrangement format among a plurality of image arrangement formats is called (S207). The arrangement pattern of one or more images in the image area is determined from the type of image area included in the called image arrangement format and the number of one or more images (S208). One or more images are arranged in accordance with the determined arrangement pattern (S209).
