When a specific component is contained in a greater amount than other components in a sample gas, the absorption spectrum of the specific component is dominantly shown in the detected results, and the absorption spectrums of the other components are hardly shown. This gas analyzer is provided with: a main chamber for receiving a sample gas; a reference chamber for receiving a treated gas in which at least known components remain after the sample gas is chemically treated; a light source for emitting infrared light into each of the main chamber and the reference chamber; and one or more detectors for detecting the infrared light respectively emitted from the main chamber and the reference chamber.
