Disclosed is an air conditioner for a vehicle with an improved noise prevention structure which can effectively prevent a phenomenon wherein noise by the flow of a refrigerant escapes to the outside of an evaporator pipe. The air conditioner has an evaporator pipe which connects an evaporator and an expansion valve and enables a refrigerant to flow therein. In the evaporator pipe, a tube is provided to divide the refrigerant and an inner wall surface of the evaporator pipe. Thus, the tube acts as a resistor on a path through which noise by the flow of the refrigerant passes to minimize the noise escaping to the outside of the evaporator pipe.
