PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device that minimizes power consumption for positioning, and to provide a position provision system and position acquisition control program.SOLUTION: A terminal device (10) has a position information acquisition unit (16) that acquires position information by starting itself up in response to a start-up request, a plurality of applications, and a plurality of position information libraries, each belonging to the applications and being set up to send a start-up request to the position information acquisition unit (16) at its own timing.
