PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of determining (deciding) categories, which reduce missing category misplacement.SOLUTION: A method of determining a category is configured to: obtain a word frequency of words in a product title under a first category, and other word frequency of more words in a product title under a second category; calculate a first overall word frequency of the product title under the first category on the basis of the word frequency of the words in the product title under the first category and a second overall word frequency of the product title under the second category on the basis of the word frequency of the words in the product title under the second category; set a first threshold for the first category and a second threshold for the second category; store the first threshold and the second threshold in a storage device; and, to determine a category of the product title, compare the first overall word frequency of the product title with the first threshold and the second overall word frequency of the product title with the second threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
