PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicon carbide powder which can be used as an abrasive grain capable of shortening the time for a blast process.SOLUTION: A silicon carbide powder has a Ti content of 0.5 ppm or more and 15.0 ppm or less. Preferably, the silicon carbide powder has a V content of 0.3 ppm or more and 15.0 ppm or less.
