摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer suppressing a load applied to a print head mounted to a carriage due to variations of a movement speed moving the carriage.SOLUTION: A printer comprises a second carriage movement mechanism 19 comprising an inner carriage 12 movable between an ascent position 12A and a descent position 12B and a cam driving motor as a driving source and moving the inner carriage 12 at a movement speed corresponding to a rotational speed of the cam driving motor. The inner carriage 12 is mounted with a print head 8. Further, the printer includes: a speed variations detection section detecting a speed variations generation position where variations of the movement speed of the inner carriage 12 are generated between the ascent position 12A and the descent position 12B; and a carriage movement control section bringing the rotational speed of the cam driving motor when the inner carriage 12 moves the speed variations generation position into a first rotational speed being a comparatively low-speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
