PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color gamut converter, a color gamut conversion method, and a color gamut conversion program for achieving color gamut expansion close to an actual thing.SOLUTION: A chroma ratio calculation section 11b calculates the ratio of chroma of the outer periphery of color gamut of an input video and chroma of the outer periphery of color gamut of an output video. A histogram generation section 12d generates a histogram that counts a plurality of pixels selected as pixels outside the color gamut for each set of brightness and color tone. A magnification determination section 13 determines one or more magnification ratios to be multiplied by chromaticity of the input video subjected to color gamut conversion in a range equal to or less than the chroma for each set of brightness and color tone based on the generated histogram.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
