AUTOMATIC INFLATOR WITH STATUS INDICATOR An automatic inflator (10) having a status indicator (30) that indicates whether a fully-charged, unspent gas cylinder has been installed to the automatic inflator (10), whether a fully-operable bobbin (34) has been properly installed within the automatic inflator (10) and whether the threaded cap of the automatic inflator (10) has been fully installed, comprising an indicator window (26) that displays the colour "green" when the automatic inflator is fully operational automatically or the colour "red" when the automatic inflator (10) is at least partially inoperable automatically due to the removal of the gas cylinder (18), due to at least partial removal of the threaded cap (38), or due to the firing of the inflator (10) resulting in a spent bobbin (34) or gas cylinder (18).
