PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate and remove a nonspecifically adsorbed fluorescent label and its simple substance in a simplified manner to thereby improve the detection accuracy in a fluorescence detection method and fluorescence detection apparatus using a fluorescent label which specifically binds to a subject and nonspecifically adsorbs mutually.SOLUTION: The fluorescence detection method comprises: flowing down a sample solution S comprising a subject binding substance O1, an adsorbate O2, an adsorbate O3, a fluorescent label F1, and label F2 through a sample solution flow channel 113; flowing down a multiphase liquid G not comprising an antigen, the fluorescent label F1, and the label F2 through a multiphase liquid flow channel 114; flowing down the sample solution S and the multiphase liquid G as a two-phase flow through a two-phase flow channel 115 which is narrower in the width than the sample solution flow channel 113 and the multiphase liquid flow channel 114; making the flow-down direction of each of the subject binding substance O1, adsorbate O2, adsorbate O3, fluorescent label F1, and label F2 different from each other in a separation flow channel 116 and separating a part of the sample solution S comprising the subject binding substance O1; and projecting excitation light onto the separated sample solution S to detect the present amount of the antigen, based on the amount of fluorescent light emitted by the subject binding substance O1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
