PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions of Stat3 pathway inhibitors and cancer stem cell inhibitors and methods of use thereof.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to compositions and methods of use of Stat3 pathway inhibitors or cancer stem cell inhibitors in combination treatment of cancer. A first aspect of the invention provides a method for treating a subject with a disorder associated with aberrant Stat3 pathway activity, comprising the steps of: (a) administering to the subject a first amount of a first agent to inhibit at least some of aberrant Stat3 pathway activity; and (b) administering to the subject a second amount of a second agent comprising a signal transduction inhibitor.SELECTED DRAWING: None
