PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder which can avoid the deterioration of a work processing accuracy caused by heat deformation of a bed due to heat of a coolant.SOLUTION: A grinder includes: a work holding device 2a which concentrically supports and rotates both ends of a work w; a whetstone device 2b which performs a cutting movement into the work w toward the front side from a back surface of the work holding device 2a; a coolant nozzle which supplies a coolant toward a portion on which the whetstone device 2b grinds the work w; and a bed 100 which provides a standard surface of mechanical processing for the work holding device 2a and the whetstone device 2b. Therein, an upper surface wall of the bed 100 includes right and left stand parts which support the work holding device 2a in parallel to the front side, an inclination portion which is disposed between the stand parts and is inclined downward toward the front side and a groove part disposed so as to be downward inclined toward the inclination portion along the work holding device 2a between the work holding device 2a and the whetstone device 2b. A liquid path 4 including a guide path 4a constituted with the inclination portion causes the coolant to flow down by gravity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
