The invention relates to a vehicle sound damper (1) for the charge air line of an internal combustion engine provided with a turbocharger (67). The vehicle sound damper (1) comprises at least a first housing part (2) and a second housing part (3) made of a metallic material, the housing parts (2, 3) being coupled together in a connection zone (4) and forming an outer shell (9) of the vehicle sound damper (1). An inner resonator element (31) made of plastics is interlockingly received in at least one of the housing parts (2, 3), and comprises at least one chamber partition (17), and at least one first inner pipe section (15) joined thereto. At least a first resonator chamber (6) and a second resonator chamber (7) are formed by the housing parts (2, 3) and by the inner resonator element (31). |
