PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bile acid composition, method and preparation.SOLUTION: An adequate quantity of suitable bile acid as a defined pharmaceutical composition, and a method for synthesizing teh same are herein provided. The bile acid composition and method so provided are not isolated from mammalian or microbial organisms that naturally produce bile acids. In one aspect, particular deoxycholic acid pharmaceutical compositions which are free from all moieties of animal origin and from mammalian and/or bacterial pyrogens, and related methods for production and use are provided. In another aspect, an adequate quantity of suitable deoxycholic acid as defined pharmaceutical composition is provided which can be used as injectable pharmaceutical composition for localized fat removal, along with related composition, method for manufacture and method of use.
