A copper foil for a printed circuit, the foil having a copper primary particle layer formed on the surface of a copper foil, and a three-component alloy secondary particle layer, formed from copper, cobalt and nickel, subsequently formed on the primary particle layer. The copper foil for a printed circuit is characterised in that the colour tone of the foil is grey or black, and the colour differences Deltaa* and Deltab* between white and the white colour of the roughened surface are 4.0 or less and 3.5 or less respectively, as measured according to the colour difference system set forth by JISZ8730. The copper foil for a printed circuit as set forth in claim 1 is characterised in that the average particle diameter of the copper primary particle layer is 0.25-0.45mum, and the average particle diameter of the three-component alloy secondary particle layer formed from copper, cobalt and nickel is 0.35mum or less. |
