METHOD OF MAKING DRILLING FLUID FROM FAT AND OIL IN BIOMASS

Disclosed in a specific embodiment of the present invention are a manufacturing method of a drilling fluid, and a drilling fluid manufactured thereby. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: a) manufacturing a fatty acid mixture from fats and oils derived from biomass; b) manufacturing estolide by using low grade acid and performing an estolide reaction with the fatty acid mixture; and c) obtaining a drilling fluid by performing an ester reaction with the estolide and alcohol. Provided in the present invention is the manufacturing method of a drilling fluid, by using the biomass, which rarely contains ingredients for causing environmental pollution.
