The invention relates to an elevator for a drilling rig for creating deep wells, comprising: a hoisting apparatus for hoisting a tubular element, wherein the tubular element has a sleeve that protrudes beyond a circumference of the tubular element, which sleeve contains a threaded segment for screwing tubular element together; a main body, which is open on at least one side and which has an accommodating region for accommodating the tubular element, in which accommodating region the tubular element can be centered, wherein a centering region having a segment that at least partially surrounds the circumference of the tubular element is provided for the centering, and wherein the at least partially surrounding segment has at least one movable centering element; and a contact surface, on which the sleeve lies during the hoisting of the tubular element. The main body has connecting means for connecting to the hoisting apparatus of the drilling rig. The contact surface is arranged above the at least partially surrounding segment and can be moved vertically with respect to the at least partially surrounding segment and is spring-loaded by means of a spring element. |
