A control unit for controlling a water feed unit, a heater, and a washing pump based on a temperature detected by a thermistor so as to carry out at least a wash water heating step and a heating/rinsing step compares the rate of temperature rise of wash water detected by the thermistor in the wash water heating step and the heating/rinsing step with each other, so as to detect the volume of a dish. In this manner, it is possible to suppress variations of the wattage of the heater or an influence by a power source voltage in installation environment, so as to determine the volume of the dishes. |
