The present invention relates to a mobile digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) disaster broadcast receiver and a reception method using the same. The mobile DMB disaster broadcast receiver comprises: a disaster message reception unit which distinguishes and receives two or more DMB disaster broadcast messages transmitted from a plurality of channels; a location information generation unit which determines its own location information; a control unit which extracts a location information ID indicating location information from the received two or more disaster messages, and selects a disaster message to be output by referring to the extracted location information ID and its own location information; and an output unit which outputs the disaster message in accordance with instructions of the control unit. The control unit monitors its location information while outputting the disaster message, and when an area where the control unit is located has been changed, selects the disaster message to be output again.
