The utility model aims at providing an ink supply system and an ink box so as to reliably carry out electrical connection between an electric contact portion of the ink box and an electric connector at a side of a printer. The ink box has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, wherein the first surface includes an ink supply opening for discharging ink and a substrate having an electrical contact portion. An ink box accommodation portion consists of an accommodation portion main body for accommodating the ink box and a cover portion that is rotatablely supported by the accommodation portion main body by a hinge portion; and an ink guiding portion and an elastic electric connector are arranged at the inner bottom of the accommodation portion main body. The cover portion includes an engaging portion as well as an elastic component; the engaging portion can be engaged with the accommodation portion main body at one side opposite to the hinge portion; and the elastic component pushes the ink box from the second surface side towards the first surface side on the condition that the ink box is installed and the engagement portion is engaged with the accommodation portion main body. |
