<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that prevents a temperature of hot water in a bathtub from decreasing due to a heat recovery function while a user takes a bath. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater includes: a hot water storage tank 1; the bathtub 3; a heat exchanger 4 for providing heat exchange between hot water in the hot water storage tank 1 and the hot water in the bathtub 3; a human body detection means 26 for detecting the presence of a human body in a bathroom or the bathtub 3; and a control means 18. On the basis of the result detected by the human body detection means 26, the water heater determines whether to perform heat recovery operation that recovers heat which the hot water in the bathtub 3 has to the hot water in the hot water storage tank 1 using the heat exchanger 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
