The present invention relates to mannanase as a novel enzyme and fragments thereof, nucleic acid molecule encoding the same, a recombinant vector including the nucleic acid molecule, a recombinant microorganism in which the recombinant vector is introduced into a host cell, a composition including the mannanase and fragments thereof. The novel mannanase and fragments thereof according to the present invention have a substrate specificity for guar gum and locust bean gum, have higher enzyme activity with respect to the guar gum than the locust bean gum when compared to the other existing mannanase, and exhibits high reactivity under conditions of neutral pH and medium temperature which are similar to the environment of intestine of an animal, thereby obtaining hydrolysate effectively. Therefore, when using the mannanase and fragments thereof according to the present invention, guar gum can be particularly decomposed effectively, mannose can be prepared according to the method, and also the present invention can be effectively used in various industrial fields, for example, transforming biomass into sugar by adding the mannanase or fragments thereof into the biomass. |
