<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of extension/contraction of an image that may occur in a separation paper feeding mode/non-separation paper feeding mode or U-turn path paper ejection/straight path paper ejection without increasing cost. <P>SOLUTION: An image reading device that reads a document in a designated conveyance mode, comprises: a document feeding unit that feeds a document; a document conveying unit that conveys and ejects the fed document; and an image reading processing unit that controls reading of an image for the document conveyed by the document conveying unit.
