<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the detection resolving power of an internal flaw in flaw inspection using a converging type ultrasonic probe wherein the area of the whole of an ultrasonic vibrator array row is large and a focal distance is short and the setting of aperture synthesis. <P>SOLUTION: In the ultrasonic imaging method of the internal flaw, an ultrasonic wave is transmitted to an inspection target 1 from an array-type ultrasonic probe 10, the reflected wave from the internal flaw of the inspection target is received, aperture synthesizing processing is applied to the signal received by the respective vibrators of the probe, the propagation time up to the internal flaw is measured on the basis of an aperture synthesizing waveform at each set focus, the position of a flaw candidate corresponding to the position of the iso-propagation time surface which corresponds to the measured propagation time is extracted, and the number of times extracted during a scanning period is calculated at every position and allowed to correspond to the position to be displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
