The present invention relates to a system and a method of cooling a fuel cell for enhancing a cooling ability to minimize or avoid a current limit thereby enhancing an operating ability of a fuel cell and a driving ability of a vehicle. To this end, the system of cooling a fuel cell includes: an air blower for supplying air which is a reaction gas into a fuel cell stack through an air supplying pipe; an air cooling pipe distributed from the air supplying pipe and connected to a front part of a radiator to discharge air distributed from the air supplying pipe to the front part of the radiator; a distribution valve mounted at a distributing point of the air cooling pipe to control an air distribution from the air supplying pipe to the air cooling pipe; and a controller for controlling the distribution valve, while cooling the stack by a circulation of a cooling water, to distribute the air supplied by the air blower to the air cooling pipe for a radiation of the radiator when a condition that the temperature of the stack maintains the high temperature equal to or higher than the predetermined standard temperature during a preset time. |
