A Thudicum nasal speculum made of a resilient plastics material comprising a pair of blades 12 joined in a U-shape configuration. The distal end of each blade has a flange 13 for insertion into the nostrils. The blades being joined by a curved U section 14 that is thicker than the blades. The speculum may be made of polycarbonate. And the thickness of the U portion 14 may be 2 to 3 times more that the thickness of blade portions 12a, 12b. The blades may be 1.5 to 2.5 mm thick. |
