PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle type vehicle in which a foot shift switch mechanism arranged to be compact, an arrangement space of it is easily assured, and further, components of the food shift switch mechanism are protected.SOLUTION: A foot rest 37 includes a plate-like part 37a extending along a lower surface of an engine. The plate-like part 37a is supported by a lower surface of the engine. There are provided vertical wall parts 37j, 37k that extend along a side face of the engine from the plate-like part 37a. A foot shift switch mechanism 35 is fixed to the plate-like part 37a. At least a part of a gear change pedal 36 and a sensor part 92 constituting the foot shift switch mechanism 35 overlaps with the foot rest 37 in top view. |
