<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a touch panel, capable of preventing malfunction by reducing the effects of LCD noise and improves an operational feeling, and to provide a driving method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device having a capacitive touch panel includes: a timing controller which generates a horizontal control signal obtained by combining a horizontal period shorter than that of a horizontal synchronization signal input from a host controller with another horizontal period longer than that of the horizontal synchronization signal; and a touch panel controller which senses the touch panel in the horizontal period longer than that of the horizontal synchronization signal on the basis of the horizontal control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
