In the present invention, there is disclosed a screen (1) against passage of insects and air-borne mechanical and biological contaminants, comprising at least one barrier layer (2) of polymeric nanofibers with surface density in the range of 0.0005 to 2 g/me2, nanofibers diameters in the range of 50 to 400 nm and pore size in the range of 50 to 1000 nm, wherein the screen is provided on at least one its surface with a transparent and pervious cover layer (3) with interfiber spacings and/or passage openings with the diameter in the range of 5 microns to 1 centimeter.
