A mounting system for an exhaust system component include one or more end mounting brackets 200 and one or more intermediary mounting brackets (300, fig.3) each comprising a vertical member 210, a horizontal member 230, one or more attachment openings 228, 238 and an attachment strap 350 for securing an exhaust component to the respective bracket. The brackets are selectively attachable to, and detachable from, a mounting surface using attachment members, eg bolts, through the attachment openings. The vertical member and the horizontal member may be attached to each other or may be unitary; it is stated that the angle between them may be between 0 and 180 degrees. Laterally extending mounting plates 224 having attachment holes (fig.4) may be attached to the members. Mounting pads 222 and an angled retention member 290 may also be provided. The attached component may be an exhaust aftertreatment device, eg an SCR catalyst, DPF, DOC. |
