The objective of the present invention is to detect a shock to a vehicle by using a device which is normally armed without newly mounting a sensor for detecting a shock such as an acceleration sensor or the like with a vehicle at rest. According to the present invention, a shock detection system with a vehicle at rest comprises: a parking mechanism for locking rotation of a drive shaft which rotates a wheel of the vehicle; a rotation sensor for detecting the rotational speed of the drive shaft; and a shock detection unit for detecting a shock to the vehicle based on a magnitude and a frequency of variation in detection values of the rotational speed of the drive shaft detected by the rotation sensor in a state that the rotation of the drive shaft is locked by the parking mechanism. |
