PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants-type absorbent article having improved usability by facilitating a grasp of a waist opening part of a diaper.SOLUTION: The diaper 1A includes an external body 2 and an absorbent body 3. Both side edges 6a of a belly side part A and both side edges 6b of a back side part B of the external body 2 are joined together to form side seal parts 5, a waist opening part WO, and a pair of leg openings LO. In the diaper 1A, there is intermittently disposed a plurality of elastic members 23, in the belly side part A and the back side part B in a Y direction, the elastic members being disposed in a state of extending in the circumferential direction of the waist opening WO. The belly side part A and the back side part B include turndown parts 4a and 4b formed by being outward turned down with the peripheral edge of the waist opening part WO including partial elastic members 233 of the plurality of elastic members 23. Both side edge portions 4a1 and 4b1 of the turndown parts 4a and 4b are fixed by the side seal parts 5. |
