PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic interference suppressor simultaneously having high surface resistance and high magnetic permeability, and having improved noise suppressing effect.SOLUTION: Flat first soft magnetic powder 11 made of a Fe-Si-Al alloy and oxide powder 12 are dispersed in an organic binder 13 to form the electromagnetic interference suppressor. The oxide powder 12 is obtained by heat-treating the flat second soft magnetic powder made of the Fe-Si-Al alloy under an atmospheric atmosphere and oxidizing it thereby. The heat-treating condition is set so as to satisfy the following: when the real part of the permeability of an electromagnetic interference suppressor A formed by dispersing only the first soft magnetic powder 11 in the organic binder is defined as μ'(A), and the real part of the permeability of an electromagnetic interference suppressor B formed by dispersing only the oxide powder 12 in the same organic binder at the same compounding ratio by weight as that of the first soft magnetic powder 11 is defined as μ'(B), μ'(B) is 5-25% of μ'(A). |
