PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for inserting an inside-inside-checking device of a reactor container into the inside of the reactor container, without increasing a size and a weight of the device and without releasing radioactive substance in the reactor container to the outside.SOLUTION: An insertion device 10 is a device, air-tightly connected to a penetration 4 communicating with a reactor container 1, and for inserting an inside-checking device 24 for checking the inside of the reactor container 1 through the penetration 4 into the inside of the reactor container 1. The insertion device 10 comprises: an ejector nozzle 11 for ejecting gas with a higher pressure than that of the inside of the reactor container 1 toward the reactor container 1; a gas cylinder 12 for supplying gas to the ejector nozzle 11; and an on-off valve 14 disposed between the ejector nozzle 11 and the gas cylinder 12, and for opening and closing a channel connecting the ejector nozzle 11 and the gas cylinder 12. |
