PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to improve the durability of a belt and quietness at an engine start in a system including an MG (motor generator) transmitting power to an engine via the belt and cranking the engine; and a starter transmitting the power to the engine via a gear and cranking the engine.SOLUTION: A request cranking torque is calculated depending on a cooling water temperature and whether a request to drive accessories is present at a time of starting an engine 11. One of cranking by an MG 12, cranking by a starter 13, and cranking by both the MG 12 and the starter 13 is selected on the basis of this request cranking torque to start cranking the engine 11. Furthermore, after starting cranking the engine 11, a slip state of a belt 19 is determined, and either the cranking by the MG 12 and the cranking by the starter 13 is selected on the basis of this slip state of the belt 19 to crank the engine 11 until starting completion (complete explosion). |
