The processing device has a tool unit (3) that is arranged linearly at a movable spindle (5) that slides in rotation about an axis of rotation and along a linear axis. The spindle is accommodated in tool housing and is movable by a shaft driven by a drive unit (2). Storage of the rotational movement and the linear movement are separate. The shaft is drivable in a rotating manner by the drive unit. The housing is linearly movable on linear guides by another drive unit.
