The present invention relates to a composition containing a sea buckthorn extract. In an experiment using mice with which mental stress is induced, the composition of the present invention has shown effectiveness in decreasing the level of dopamine, noradrenaline, and corticosterone in brain and blood of the mice, while increasing the level of serotonin. Therefore, the composition of the present invention is useful for inhibiting, preventing, and treating diseases associated with mental stress.
