<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized electronic control unit for an electric power steering. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic control unit 42 for an electric power steering that is integrally formed with an electric motor 43 includes: a first substrate 100 having a switching circuit 110 supplying a driving signal to the electric motor 43; a second substrate 200 having an electrolytic capacitor 210 smoothing a power-supply voltage that is a source of the driving signal; a third substrate 300 having a control circuit controlling the switching circuit 100; and a unit cover 420 housing the first substrate 100, the second substrate 200, and the third substrate 300. An opening 425 of the unit cover 420 is closed by a motor cover 430 housing the electric motor 43. The first substrate 100, the second substrate 200, the third substrate 300, and the motor cover 430 are disposed in the order of the motor cover 430, the third substrate 300, the second substrate 200, and the first substrate 100 in a direction DR1 of a motor shaft 450 of the electric motor 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
