PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of facilitating the detachment of an extention pipe from a cleaner body.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes: a floor suction tool 2 attached to the lower part of a cleaner body 1 and having a first suction port 2a for sucking dust on a cleaned surface; a hose 3 whose one end is attached to the cleaner body 1; and an extension pipe 4 where one end is attached to the other end of the hose 3, and that has a second suction port 4b and is attachable/detachable to/from the cleaner body 1. The cleaner body 1 includes an extension pipe detachment operation part 7 for releasing the engagement of the extension pipe 4 with the cleaner body 1 while the extension pipe 4 is attached to the cleaner body 1. When the extension pipe detachment operation part 7 is operated by a user in a state where the cleaner body 1 is operated, the operation of an electric blower 5 is stopped. When the extension pipe 4 is detached from the cleaner body 1 by a user in a state where the cleaner body 1 is operated in a storage state, suction air by the electric blower 5 does not work. Thus, the sucking of the extension pipe 4 is prevented so as to facilitate the detachment of the extension pipe 4. |
